Our bikes have been meticulously serviced throughout their working life and kept in excellent condition. Many of the bikes have a few age related scuffs and scratches but the bikes have been well looked after and are good value for money. Each bike has had its chain and cassette serviced. All cables, brake pads/brake discs and tyres have been checked and replaced if needed.
The blue and green bikes are the CAAD 12 models and the black and grey coloured bikes are the Synapse models. All bikes are 2018 models but weren’t used in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

Technical Specifications
Cannondale Synapse
The 2018 model Synapse 105 is a copy of the award winning Synapse Carbon model but made from an aluminium alloy which is both lightweight and very strong. The Synapse is a road bike designed for covering miles in real comfort, using brand new SAVE (Synapse Anti-Vibration Elimination) Technology to reduce vibration from the road and increase the comfort during long rides. The Synapse is designed for multi-purpose use and is heavier than the CAAD12 at a total bike weight if 9.6kg whereas the CAAD12 is just 8.1kg.
The spec on the Synapse is precisely as mentioned below except for the tyres, which we change after each tour. The tyres we use will either be 25mm or 28mm and be Gatorskins or very similar.

Cannondale CAAD 12
The 2018 model CAAD12 105 is an exceptionally lightweight road bike made from an aluminium alloy which is both extremely lightweight and very strong. The CAAD12 is a racing pedigree bike and is built more for speed than touring, although it is a very comfortable bike to ride over distance. It has rim brakes rather than the disc brakes that the Synapse has, which helps save overall weight.
The spec on the CAAD12 is precisely as mentioned below except for the tyres, which we change after each tour, and the gearing. The tyres we use will either be 25mm or 28mm and be Gatorskins or very similar. The CAAD12 also comes fitted with an 11-28 as standard but we have fitted a Shimano 105 11-32 cassette to the bike to give the rider an extra spinning gear to aid with hill climbing.
They have all had an upgrade to a long arm, long cage rear mech as well.
